Alone
by: Edgar Allan Poe

From childhood's hour I have not been
As others were; I have not seen
As others saw; I could not bring
My passions from a common spring.

From the same source I have not taken
My sorrow; I could not awaken
My heart to joy at the same tone;
And all I loved, I loved alone.

Then- in my childhood, in the dawn
Of a most stormy life- was drawn
From every depth of good and ill
The mystery which binds me still:

From the torrent, or the fountain,
From the red cliff of the mountain,
From the sun that round me rolled
In its autumn tint of gold,

From the lightning in the sky
As it passed me flying by,
From the thunder and the storm,
And the cloud that took the form
(When the rest of Heaven was blue)
Of a demon in my view.

Day 3- At Universal Studios and Universal City

Guys, the pics will just follow... anyhoo... there are pretty much ups and downs today... you guys check if the ups outweigh the downs or vice versa... First, the bad news...
Bad News:
-THEY're watching boxing, so WE cant leave coz THEY have to come... semantics people...
-We didn't get the chance to see Spiderman or 28 days later at Universal Studios... sh*t!
-THEY wont go with ME to look for a (surplus lang!!!) laptop... shucks!!!
-I slept during the return from Universal City to the apartment, so I didn't have the chance to go site seeing.. uh!
-I don't have any souvenirs from Universal!!! I only have pasalubong for two particular b*tches... yeah, you know who you are!!! paghulat mo ha?! lol.
-the camera died out, do didn't have sufficient pictures...

MOving on with my life, here are the good news... Hopefully they're good enough...

Good News:
-I finally had the chance to ride in the LA subways... mas paspas pa ang MRT pero chocks lang!!!
-We went to Universal! hahaha no duh! but the interesting part was the whole going-to-the-retarded-rides scene... I loved the Jurassic Park Ride, The Mummy Ride (The Best) and the Backdraft and Universal Studios' Special Effects Rooms...
-I ate chicken!!! finally, all the carbs were getting to me and my waistline... so a bit of protein was good for me...
-fellow tourists (the Filipinos) mistook me for FilAm coz of my English and my (pseudo-)accent... hahaha! at least napahimus-lan ang debate!!!
-I didn't gain nor lose weight, so its all good... But I hope I LOSE a few TONS... lol.
-I met someone.. -end of message- lol. details to follow if (anyone is) interested...
I'll update this 24 hours from now... okay?! Day 4 will follow.. Viva Las Vegas!!!! hahaha!

Day 2

today was funny... day 2 started with me waking up last in the living room with people staring at me, eating their breakfast... i love it here though coz its cosy and kinda cold, so i'm not missing the aircon that much... hehehe... wishful thinking would concur with me when I say, "tugnawa diri ui"... but its all good... tolerable enough to walk through hollywood boulevard... i'll haver a precedent album to follow this blog, and then some... I'll have albums and blogs from day 2 - day 30 which includes the post-vcation pics in puhon Davao Shitty... amazing facts?! Hispanics and less friendlier than blacks... gay guys are more discreet than the Filipino bakla... Best Buy has the Best Prods... hahaha! coz they have the nintendo ds play thing and the wii... whatever... i just need a Dell laptop with wireless connectivity and Zen Creative Vision M (preferably 60gb but 30 will be just fine)... hahaha! thats all... lol... anyways, the people here are crazy... like what I said, Hispanics are less friendlier than Blacks coz i was mistaken for a Mexican twice today... so where does the whole "less friendlier" part fall into the picture?! well.. if the person makes the whole mistaken identity (or in this case race) bit, initially, people would say sorry or give you back a smile... The funniest among the two was when this waitress at Rodeo Mexican Grill was fixing something in the men's restroom, she spoke to me in straight and deep Spanish supposedly saying "wait a minute".. I could understand Spanish like the average (even the satisfactory kind) Biracial but when its broken down to bits of words, so I said "I'm not Mexican! I can only speak English".. So she has this whole Mexican attitude saying "could you wait outside for a minute?" with a subtle yet demanding tone... so there... the other one was just speaking to me in fluent Spanish which again was a case of mistaken-races or cultures... so there... she was just asking where the way out of the Chinese Theatre was... so I asked if she could translate it to English, which she did... So i did the noble thing, I poited the sign with the word EXIT, NO DUH.... hahaha! so there were no thank you's what so ever... It begs the question, Do I look Mexican?!

pseudo-jetlagged

its so pleasing to know that the US is so cold, opposit from what I learned from particular people! damn shit jud! ahhaha! what spoiled the trip for me a bit was that my parentskept on blabbering about petty things but all in all its all good... hehehe i dont blame them though.... cranky as they may be, i still love them... its weird, i still feel the pseudo-turbulence-feeling of jetlag... bumpy... uh... im blabbering... so what did I learn from travel day...

1. Filipinos are so marginalized in the US to the extent that some of the OFW's are exploited because they're so "nice" workwise... So guys, especially those considering nursing, toughen up! the labor sector must learn how to be callous in a way be sensitive enough to earn the dollars they're families need and the revenues and remittances our country needs...

2. speaking of country, my blog ON TRAPOS, was wrong... sorry for the idea that TraPo's are these political dynasties like the Marcoses and the Arroyoes... In an attempt to stay clear death threats from the REAL TraPo's, hehehe, THEY are the ones pala who continuously run for particular positions of term-after-term to "enjoy" the governments "benefits"... Do correct me though if more confused than I was before... I got the thought from Trapo Governance and Cha Cha Conspiracy (Valdehuesca)... hehehe pardon for the geekiness of this entry... moving on...

3. ADS people are amazing... four people from ADS are running for valedictorian... but my personal idol, Claudio, got the prize... hehehe but dont get me wrong, the next time I see anyone of them- "I'll knee before thee..." hahaha! for more vivid info, do check out my contacts and find ADS... read their latest blog as of May 2...

4. Heart Evangelista slept in the same plane as us!!! She's so hot! The bomb! Story is, she came in to N5 with her oversized Louis dressedin a vintage dress with white heels and a brown belt that completed the LV bag... She's hotter in person than on tv... the radiation doesnt do her face any justice, projection-wise, on tv... she's hotter 5 folds... hands down...

5. dimple!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hinahanap kita!!!! hahaha! lets meet up... I'm at LA, and you are in?! hahaha!!! Laag ta?! hehehe

So basically that's it... I'll upload an album prior to this blog in about 48 hours... it all depends if I see a memory card reader here... but as of know... my vacation goals are...

1. see american idol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2. 6 flags or/and (hehehe) disney...

3. buy a zen creative... (black one please bro... hahaha!)

4. buy DM's for college... (a black leather pair please mumsy... lol)

5. meet a school that debates or/and go to that school... hahaha! (freak!)

6. shop till the peso-dollar rate drops!!!!!

7. buy the book i need for debate (freak! again...)

8. knock-off 2 inches off my waistline... (hahaha! presumably... after the foodtrips here, i definitely need it!!!!)

9. watch American tellie...

10. think of other things to do here... for fun... hahaha! that involves a club and an item from seven eleven... hahaha! joke lang ha! hehehe

*slash*

Although the electoral atmosphere is catching a drift of the stank side, I believe that there's a lighter side to the whole ballot *slash* vote buying *slash* adverts scenarios... hahaha! oh yes! i'm talking about the recent things that happened while the Filipinos where resting back there heads on comfy matresses... This is the blog for the funniest *slash* weirdest things I found (or came to know of) during the few days before May 10.

Top Weirdest-ests: (*slash* kinda funny)

10. well, I have to say finding out a party for the closeted "third sex" in the political side of the Philippines. Yes yes... Not to be a sexist but I believe that "Ang ladlad" bewilders itself by making SOME platforms that only benefits "them" (using the term loosely). But I'm kinda ignorant about the whole thing, so lets just stop there before I hit pink stones... hahaha!

9. finding out that Manny Pacquiao is going to run! hehehe... need I say more?! But I do admire the guy for his un-egotistic campaign... so all hail Manny (I guess...)!

8. not really grasping the total run down for parties... In laymen's term, I dont know who's who on GO or Team Unity or Kapatiran and the other parties out there...but one thing's for sure... Go for GO!!! hahaha! especially Chiz... Go Mr. Bamboo-look-alike! hehe

7. Kiko is ind?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!? the thought still baffles me... but what's more baffling, so to speak, is the reason behind... hmmm...

6. the whole Zubiri ad campaign... I dont know... the song still gives me goose bumps.. hahha!

5. ah.. my top five... this slot deserves to go to the Pichay mascot!!!!!!!!!!!! what freaks me out isn't the mascot itself (well, it actually does) but the point is, he spent alot on his campaign mascot alone!!! i dont know the numbers, but from what my memory serves, it could buy me some new shirts! hahaha

4. the Pichay campaign ad on tv... dont ask... hahaha!

3. the thought of pichay spending over a hundred million for his campaign and that team unity spent 2 billion-ish on their entire party ads!!! tsk3...

2. the site of Goma on ANC while he was in the hot seat... Being asked about the whole education system in the Philippines and how to prescribe a pseudo-panacea to the former is no piece of cake dude!!! and given that it was Goma... well... I felt sorry for him...

tadadadaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1. (story came from stuart) the Pichay (representing team unity) vs. The Nonoy Aquino (representing my personal fave---GO!!!) debate about the health crisis in the Phils. and more!!!!!!!!!!!! hands down, this has got to be my personal fave!!!

So if elections had been done in the midst of a Ms. Congeniality context with a Popularity Gagfest Award on the line... I pretty much guess, and can tell, who would get that piece of shit bit by bit.. hehehehe

.perfect.stranger.

Well my girl's in the next room
Sometimes I wish she was you
I guess we never really moved on
It's really good to hear your voice say my name
It sounds so sweet
Coming from the lips of an angel
Hearing those words it makes me weak
And I never wanna say goodbye
But girl you make it hard to be faithful
With the lips of an angel
-excerpts from Lips of An Angel by Hinder...

This is for you...

You looked at me from afar, and I dare not stare. Your sweet sweet presence- like harbour lights from the pier. I see nothing else but you, I hear nothing but you, I feel nothing. I just feel nothing. I choose to. As I decided to crept away from your voice calling me, I saw myself in the midst of you. You asked me, I refused. I wasn't ready. I wanted to know more... about you, about me, about anyone else. But all I knew was that I wanted to. The way you make me feel something; a familiar sensation much like what I felt when I was sober. I lost the feeling. And then... I lost you...

Alone, in the middle of it all, I stood. Looking up at the starry night sky, with a tear falling. From all these years, all this time, it was just you. But again, I choose not to. Not because I didn't want to. Not because I didn't needed to. Not because because I wasn't infatuated, humiliated or even beaten up by the temptation you pou into my veins. So weak. So null. So timid.

I suddenly felt another. I was in the midst of another. The feeling, all over again. But something different. It was without, the perfect stranger...

On TraPo's

While doing the yearbook, I found out (on y-speak) that there was this particular act of some sort saying that it would allow into law the elimination of the whole political dynasty scenario in the Philippines... I'm, for one, not a constitutionalist to say but... WHAT THE HECK?! I mean there are some political dynasties here in the Philippines that do not necessarily "polarize" Philippine politics by their populaity ALONE... in fact, these political dynasties, for me, is a good idea. it constitutes to the awareness of the people that this particular "John or Jane Doe" has some political background up his or her sleeves. Thus make voting for him or he a lot easier and not only that, this means that that particular person could actually nourish the "GOOD" in their family's pojects and the like and even lessen the tendency to aggivate what has already been done. So, to speak for the "nuissance" candidates in the senatoriable race... I mean if actors and other nuissances think that they can just wake up one day and think over projects, plans and proposals to "establish" and build as one of the foundations of their platforms, then why not allow these seed of the crop to join in the whole big scene. I, for one, sympathize for the decendants of the great Arroyo's, Marcoses and the like... Moreover, the political dynasties should not be questioned on face value, the people concerned (the masses voting) should actually watch out for the capabilities of the people running. So for the sake of blogging, and for the sake of giving hell about it, I say that this paticular Anti Political Dynasty Act or other watchamacallits that pertain to the like, I say, NO WAY!!!

.on.coffee.and.hot.milk.

im currently in an insomnic state. I hate when I have this condition, it leaves me yearning for coffee to sleep (irony?! but true enough), I end up drinking hot milk instead and stay awake til dawn! uh... I really hate this... uh... uhm, I think I'm blabbering... which is kinda weird coz I usually have alot of things to say... what now?! uhm, oh well, I just thought of documenting this priceless moment coz "lingid sa kaalaman ng iba" (i dont know the english translation okay?! give me a break!) i'm not insomnic... well, thas all i have to say for Renz... hahaha! special mention... Its just weird, memories of the Exorcism of Emily Rose flash me by, now its kinda creepy... but I guess its all good... as long as I have my ipod, up late texters, people (or should I say person) online, and my cup of coffee... err... slash that... hot milk... uh...
